Fan favorite Sunetra Sarker who played consultant Zoe Hanna, from 2007 until her recent departure in 2016 is set to make a guest appearance in early 2018.
Zoe left Holby City's Emergency Department in May 2016, after separating with her husband Max Walker, Zoe left Holby and moved to America.
Casualty's new series producer Lucy Raffety announced to Digital Spy that, "Sunetra Sarker has reprised the role for one episode, but fans will have to tune in to see what brings her back to the hospital in the new year."
Since leaving Casualty, Sunetra has appeared in new school drama Ackley Bridge, Safe House and Broadchurch.
