Jane joined the show as Dixie and made her first appearance on the 30th September 2006. Since then the paramedic has been involved in some memorable Casualty storylines including her character marrying colleague and best friend Jeff Collier to make her fathers dying wish come true.

Another being when Dixie becomes romantically involved with Carol Walcott, who sadly died after having a fall and developing a serious brain injury.
Then in 2014 Dixie had to deal with the death of her husband and best friend Jeff after he died rescuing Ash from the ED mini-bus crash. The latest being in a abusive storyline which included Jess Cranham (Kerry Bennett), Nikki Chisom (Anna Acton) and Olivia Cranham (Grace Doherty) where Jess and Olivia was being abused by partner Nikki.
We know that Dixie will be sadly missed from our TV screens on a Saturday night and everyone at Entirely Soaps would like to wish Jane Hazlegrove the very best in the future and we hope we see her on our TV’s again very soon.
