Casualty Review: Series 32, Episode 33

We finally found out what became of Bea (Michelle Fox) after her post-shift booze binge saw her collapse in a heap in an alleyway. Robyn (Amanda Henderson) is at work and Dylan (Will Beck) has a surprise for her. Then there's Ethan (George Rainsford) and his continued uncharacteristic and indeed inappropriate behaviour. Here's a few episode highlights:

Bea's beaten...

Bea's discovered by a doorman who, similarly to the F1, appears to have been in the wars. It's a fortunate find as before long Iain (Michael Stevenson) and Sam (Charlotte Salt) are patching their colleague up and whisking her off to the ED. Ethan is less than impressed and unsympathetic, Rash (Neet Mohan) is trying to stay positive. However, the overall feeling is that life is looking bleak for the young doctor.

Robyn's remembrance

Robyn is trying to get back into the swing of work, and she's been quit successful at it in my humble opinion. Dylan is set to put a spoke in her day as he hands over a parcel from Glen. However, Ethan is quick to put his foot in it when he discovers Robyn in the staff room and wrongly suspects she's mooning around instead of on top of her game. So, the package, which is supposed to be a beautiful reminder, almost ends up as landfill and Ethan spends part of the shift rooting through trash. Comeuppance? I think so!

Dr Hardy's determination

With Leigh-Anne (Cassie Bradley) still on the scene, Ethan seems more determined than ever to be there for her. He's certainly hell-bent on alleviated his guilty conscience, but how far will this go? It's clouding his judgement that's for sure!

In with the new

With Bea indisposed and uncertain of her future, along comes her opponent for the international course. F1, Eddie McAllister (Joe Gaminara) has joined the team and Bea still sees him as a threat to her own career and place in the department. When it looks as though Bea has made a decision to leave medicine behind, we were left wondering if Eddie really has taken her place. Plus Ethan looked as though he was feeling the guilt again, especially after reading her letter of resignation. What a complex character she's been, if she really is reconsidering her career and this is the end for Bea, I'm going to miss her!
