The Ellisons are back to haunt Ethan (George Rainsford) as Scott's pregnant girlfriend arrives in the ED and in a bizarre turn of events, Ethan finds himself having to race against the clock to save the son of the man who killed his brother. Not forgetting of course that Ethan let Scott die as revenge for him murdering Cal (Richard Winsor).
We also saw Charlie (Derek Thompson) back in his old managerial shoes following Jacob (Charles Venn) requesting to step down, last episode. Here are a few highlights of Saturday's instalment:
Ellison's Legacy
When Leigh-Anne Carr (Cassie Bradley) arrives in the ED, livid that she's having to go to Holby City Hospital as she distinctly requested St James's, Ethan Hardy is at the helm delivering her baby. However, in the midst of a crisis when the baby's shoulders are stuck Dr Hardy discovers that he is delivering Scott Ellison's baby. There's a turn up for the books! Hence Leigh-Anne's decision to avoid Holby City like the plague. The situation resurrects Ethan's guilt at having allowed her beau to die and in true Ethan style he's going above and beyond to be helpful. However, will his over-zealous acts arouse suspicion in Leigh-Anne? She doesn't seem like a reasonable girl to me!
Charlie's in Charge
Charlie's back where he belongs, in charge now that Jacob has decided to call it a day on the extra duties to play dad. However, it's already becoming clear that Duffy (Cathy Shipton) has concerns about the amount of time the 'new' role is taking and it's already affecting their home life. How long will Charlie stay in post before Duffy is having words with him? Let's hope it doesn't spell trouble for their relationship.
Bea's dilemma
Bea (Michelle Fox) is one of my favourite newcomers and I liked the way she hovered around and made an shrewd observation when two females who had been involved in a car accident were discussing their 'story'. It wasn't completely clear if she had overheard their conversation but if she was intentionally being clever with her choice of words, it worked because the truth came out about which of the two patients was behind the wheel of the car in the crash. Either way I think Bea has a long career ahead of her in medicine, and if not maybe she would make a decent Police Officer?
Robyn
Robyn (Amanda Henderson) was conspicuous by her absence, except that Duffy raised concerns at how much of a brave face the bereaved nurse was putting on. It begs the question of what we can anticipate from her return to work as and when that happens. It's about time Robyn had some luck isn't it.
