Background:

Harry's determination and professionalism made him a strong leader. Harry loved the job and he was supremely confident. He valued discipline, rank and status and liked to wear a uniform hence his 'jacket of power'. He once stood for Parliament as MP for Holby but soon returned to his beloved medicine. Harry felt responsible for Ruth's suicide attempt. As a result, he handed over the extracts of her diary to the press and was subsequently forced to resign.
